ABSTRACTS

ONLINE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM

*All presenting authors with abstracts accepted for VAS 2025, will have an early bird price of registration.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts on any of the following topics:

  • Arteriovenous fistula
  • Arteriovenous prosthetic grafts
  • Central venous catheters
  • Vascular access site selection
  • Vascular access surveillance and monitoring
  • Complications of vascular access
  • Cardiovascular effects of hemodialysis access
  • Surgical techniques for vascular access creation
  • Endovascular interventions for vascular access
  • Infection prevention in vascular access
  • Patient education on vascular access care
  • Impact of vascular access on patients’ quality of life
  • Innovations in vascular access devices and materials
  • Nursing in vascular access
  • Peritoneal dialysis catheters

Submitting Abstracts

There are 3 types of abstracts to be submitted:

  • Original study
  • Review presentation
  • Case report (only be presented as an E-poster)

The members of the Scientific Committee will review all abstracts.
Abstract Submission Deadline January 10, 2025

Method of Submission

All abstracts must be submitted only via the online platform. The platform is available at our website: https://www.vas2025.org/.

Authors will receive proof of submission directly in their e-mail (in case you don’t receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder or contact the secretariat).

Authors will have access to their abstracts and can edit only in an edit mode, not after the submission was finalized and submitted.

After complete submission, it is not possible to modify any content.

All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail address.

Abstract Submission Instructions

Abstracts and papers must be written in English. Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts previously published cannot be submitted.

The author’s name and e-mail address must be filled in properly – contact details will serve for future correspondence with the author(s).

How to submit an abstract:

  • If you already have an account, click the "Log In" button at the top right corner of the homepage.
  • If you do not have an account, click the "Sign Up" button and follow the prompts to create a new account.
  • Once you have created an account you can start a new submission. Fill in all the required fields.
  • You will need to download the EACCME Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form. Print out the file and fill it out. Then upload the document with your signature included.
  • Carefully review all the information you have entered to ensure it is correct and complete.
  • You can log in to your Oxford Abstracts account at any time to view the status of your submission.

Abstract Layout

The length of the abstracts should be at most 2000 characters.

Title: Your abstract title plays a crucial role in guiding the reader's understanding. It should be brief and clear, reflecting the nature of your investigation. Use a capital letter for the first letter in the title only (do not capitalize each word).

Names of the authors: Submit full first name(s) and the full family name. Do not include degrees or professional titles. Submit the institutions of all authors.

Standard structure:

  • Original Articles – background, materials and methods, results and conclusion
  • Case reports don't require a structured presentation but should follow the abstract instructions.

Author/Presenter registration

All presenting authors of selected abstracts must register for the 14th Congress of the Vascular Access Society before February 15, 2025.

The organization does not cover costs incurred in submitting an abstract or poster or for travel and accommodation costs for presenting authors. Failure to register for the 14th Congress of the Vascular Access Society by the set deadline will lead to the withdrawal of your abstract(s).
